Servo Motor With A Reducer Occasion

With the development of servo motor technology,modern industrial equipment in high-precision applications occasion increase rotational speed from high torque density to high power density more than 3000 rpm. As the speed is increased,the power density of the servo motor is greatly increased.This means that the servo motor needs to be equipped with a reducer,the deciding factor is mainly from the application requirements and cost considerations.The following applications must be equipped with servo planetary reducer.

1.Heavy load,high precision:the load must move and require precise positioning will have this need.Generally like aviation,satellite, medical, military science and technology, wafer equipment, robots and other automation equipment.Their common feature is that the required torque to move the load often far exceeds the torque capacity of the servo motor itself. Through reducer to improve the servo motor output torque,we can effectively solve this problem.

2.To enhance the torque:the output torque increase ways,directly increase servo motor output torque,but this way must not only use expensive high-power servo motor,the motor also has a stronger structure,the torque increasing is in proportion to control current increasing.At this time use a larger servo drive,power electronic components and related mechanical and electrical equipment specifications increasing,will greatly increase the control system costs.

3.Improve using performance:It is understood that the improper matching of load inertia is one of the biggest reasons for servo control instability.For large load inertia,the inverse square of the reduction ratio can be used to tune the optimal equivalent load inertia to achieve optimal control response.From this perspective,planetary gearbox are the best match for the control response of the servo system application.

4.Reduce equipment costs:from the cost point of view, assuming a 0.4KW AC servo motor with a servo drive,need to spend one 

unit of equipment costs,to a 5KW AC servo motor with a servo drive must spend 15 unit cost,but if 0.4KW servo motor and servo

drive with a set of reducer can achieve the aforementioned cost of 15 units to complete the matter,the operation cost savings more than 50%.

Therefore,users according to their different processing requirement to choose planetary gear reducer products.In general,there are low speed, high torque, high power density requirements in machine operation,major use planetary gear reducer.
